FAQ
Red Light Therapy FAQs — Australia
Common questions about red light therapy, photobiomodulation, wavelengths, home use, shipping across Australia, and choosing the right device.
Does red light therapy actually work for physiotherapy?
Yes — red and near-infrared light therapy (photobiomodulation) has a solid evidence base as an adjunct to physiotherapy. Studies show benefits for tendinopathies, osteoarthritis, muscle recovery, and soft-tissue health management. Our pads are custom designed by an Australian Physiotherapist with a Masters Degree to deliver clinically relevant red and near-infrared wavelengths at therapeutic doses.
What wavelengths do your pads use?
Our pads combine 660nm red light, 810nm near-infrared, and a deeper infrared wavelength (940nm in the Medium and Mini Pads, 980nm in the XLarge Pad) — the wavelength ranges with the strongest clinical evidence for health management, inflammation reduction, and tissue repair. These are the same wavelengths used in professional clinic devices.
Can I use a red light therapy pad at home?
Absolutely. Our pads are designed specifically for home use — they're flexible, wearable, and come with a USB/DC power option so you can use them anywhere. Many of our customers use them daily for health management, sports recovery, and general wellness without needing clinic visits.
How long does shipping take across Australia?
We ship Australia-wide. Standard shipping is $15 and Express is $18 per order, and shipping is free on orders of $400 or more. Delivery typically takes 3–7 business days depending on your location. Rural and remote areas may take a little longer. You'll receive tracking details once your order is dispatched.
Which pad is right for my condition?
It depends on the area you're treating and your goals. The Mini Pad suits targeted areas like knees, shoulders, or elbows. The Medium Pad covers larger muscle groups like the back or thighs. The XLarge Pad is our largest and works well for full-back coverage or equine use. Annie is an Australian Physiotherapist with a Masters degree and is happy to give you a personalised recommendation — just call or email.
Is red light therapy safe?
Red and near-infrared light therapy is considered very safe when used as directed. It is non-thermal at the doses used in our pads, non-invasive, and has no known serious side effects. We recommend avoiding direct eye exposure and consulting your GP if you are pregnant, have a light-sensitive condition, or take photosensitising medications.
How much does red light therapy equipment cost in Australia?
Our range starts at $15 for the Elastic Extension Strap. Therapeutic pads start at $110 for the Mini Pad, up to $550 for the XLarge Pad. Compared to ongoing clinic sessions at $50–$100 each, a home device typically pays for itself within a few weeks of regular use.
Do you offer a warranty or returns?
Yes. Our therapy pads come with a 12-month warranty, and all products are covered by Australian Consumer Law guarantees. If you have any issues with your order, contact Annie directly by phone or email and she'll make it right.
